About the Webinar:
In this workshop i2cat and the Municipal Institute of Information Technology of Barcelona (IMI) will present the PLEDGER use case 2 wich aims to enhance the safety of vulnerable road users (VRUs), by providing a timely detection of risky situations and warning the VRUs about said situations. Drivers will be assisted with enhanced perception capabilities, in order to reduce the number of accidents. In particular, PLEDGER will be focusing on intersections where the drivers’ visibility may be obstructed, thus missing the presence of a pedestrian or a bicycle approaching. Through smart Edge Cloud infrastructure, the pedestrian or the bicycle will be detected and the surrounding drivers will be notified about their presence.
The webinar will include the presence of external experts that will share their experiences and discuss how they could benefit from PLEDGER’s platform.
